York, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay...

York and the surrounding area is a wonderful part of the United Kingdom with history, beautiful countryside and a stunning coastline dotted with pretty villages and harbour towns.

In this blog, following some positive feedback on my Facebook page(for which I am incredibly grateful!), I just want to share a few more images from the area.

Once we are through these dark days of Covid-16, and we will get through them, I’d highly recommend anyone in the UK to take a trip to Yorkshire - so much to see and do. Great food there as well!

For far more professional images than mine - I’m just a fat guy who clicks a button sometimes - do check out Yorkshire in Photographs

For travel photography in general, I’d recommend Lonely Planet's Guide to Travel Photography (Lonely Planet Guides)

Anyway, onto some of my snaps!

Walking the old city walls is a highlight of a visit to the city and the walk affords some wonderful views of the Minster!

From the Abbey, the steps in this image lead you down towards the heart of the town. I have posted an image of the Abbey on my Facebook page.
